Australia passport / visa photos are 35 × 45 mm (1.38 × 1.77 in) on a white background. The head height should be 32–36 mm (70–80% of photo). Glasses are not allowed. The photo must be taken within the last 6 months.

Official requirements
- Plain white background, no shadows
- Head height 32–36 mm (70–80% of photo)
- Eyes open and looking at camera
- Neutral expression, mouth closed
- No glasses (since July 2018; medical exceptions need a certificate)
- Taken within last 6 months
