Malaysia passport photos are 35 × 50 mm (1.38 × 1.97 in) on a white background. The face height should be 25–30 mm (50–60% of photo). Glasses are not allowed.

Official requirements
- Plain white background, no shadows
- Face height 25–30 mm (50–60% of photo)
- Eyes open and looking at camera
- Neutral expression, mouth closed
- No glasses
- Two identical prints on photo paper
- For applications at a Malaysian embassy, or children under 4
